''Trust that everything in your life is in divine order and synchronicity. All that you see is perfectly in line with your path and you are always in the perfect time and space. Be, think and act love.’’
How well do you deal with change? Do you fully embrace it with excitement, or do you try and resist change as much as you can? The purpose of each and everyone’s journey is to open up and be willing and ready to receive new energy and changes because what worked for us previously may no longer work for us as it once did. The whole purpose of life is to continuously evolve and grow – we are never meant to stop growing or stop learning – otherwise what would the point of ‘’life’’ be?
‘’Listen to your body and emotions when they tell you something no longer works for you. Let the old fall away. Listen to your inner guidance as your heart leads you to some place new’’
I used to be someone who disliked change, but now I have learned to embrace it, I trust that the Universe has my back on my journey. Who wants things to just stay the same? As your energy changes, you will likely want different energy around you. This can lead to meeting new like-minded souls who inspire you and support you on your journey. I want you to become really in tune with your intuition and listen to your heart, see where it takes you. The best way to connect your body, mind and spirit is through meditation and journaling.
M E D I T A T I O N: Meditation is about training the mind to be conscious. It is a great tool to help you become present. Most of the time we live worrying about the future or reliving the past. Mediation allows you to be present and enjoy the moment, as well as other benefits such as helping to reduce stress significantly. Meditation relaxes the body and mind and it makes you feel calmer and happier. There are numerous ways to meditate. Some people do yoga, tai chi, dancing or painting to get out of their heads and into their bodies. The most well know form is a seated meditation. Find a quiet place where you feel comfortable and turn off all distractions. Sit on a chair or on the floor with your legs crossed or even just lie down on your bed and close your eyes. Breathe into your belly not into your chest; this helps calm your nervous system. Keep your eyes closed and your mind focused on your breathing. You can even try a breathing technique to help relax you even further. Breathe in for 4 counts – feel your belly rise – hold the breathe for four counts and then exhale the breathe for four counts – feel your belly fall and repeat. Try and aim for 10 rounds of the 4x4x4 breathing technique for your first time and then when you feel comfortable gradually work your way up to 40 rounds. You can also meditate on an affirmation of your choice or an intention. When you’re finished, bring yourself back into the present and see how much better you feel and how much mediation will improve your day. When you first start to meditate take it slow – start by meditating for 5 minutes and then see if your can build up to 15-20 minutes. See if you can make meditation part of your daily routine and consider this non-negotiable. This is the time you get for yourself and to give yourself some self-love. Try and meditate everyday for 1-2 weeks and at the end of the 7-14 days see how much calmer and clear-headed you feel. This will be life changing, I promise. * If you live on the Mornington Peninsula, I run meditation classes every Sunday morning. Check out my Yoga page for times/location. J O U R N A L I N G: Journaling can do incredible things for your health. Your journal is your all accepting, non-judgmental friend. This is the place you can come to and write about anything and everything! I use my journal to connect and write letters to the Universe, I use it to manifest my dreams and desires, I write down any creative ideas I have, I write about what I am grateful for, I write down what’s new and good in my life and its always really interesting to go back and read what you wrote a month or two ago and see how much you have grown and accomplished. Journaling allows you to clarify your thoughts and feelings. When you don’t know what you want or feel then this quickly gets you in touch with your internal world .You will get to know yourself better – by writing routinely you will get to know what makes you feel happy and what sets your soul on fire. It has been proven that journaling reduces stress among many other benefits. When you write about your emotions you will feel calmer and better able to stay in the present. My next post will be about how to release + let go of your worries and how you can use your journal to do this. I hope todays post has been somewhat helpful. Thank you for stopping by beautiful.. Love + Light Maegan xx

Meditation is what made me the person that I am today. I used to be someone who was easily consumed by my emotions, and it was a bad look on me. I wanted to be a person who can vocalize what I feel in the right way. Meditation is what allowed me to be a better person, at least when it comes to handling my emotions. I hope that this has encouraged everyone to go and try out meditation activities.
